About us
Cat Doctor North Shore is the first cat only clinic on the Shore.
A lot of people don’t understand that cats are unique beings, but here at Cat Doctor we understand this and aim to provide the best care that’s specifically tailored for cats.
Whether your cat needs a vaccination, a check-up, or surgery, we will be here for you and your cat throughout the whole process.
Cat Doctor Team
We may be a small team here at Cat Doctor, but we are mighty! Megan the Veterinarian has many years of experience, including emergency care. Our nurses are qualified and provide a range of skills. Everyone at the Cat Doctor has one thing in common, and that is a passion for cats specifically, so you know your cats are in safe hands.
Dr Megan Rice, BVSc (veterinarian)
Megan is a 2006 Massey Graduate with the additional advanced qualifications of a 'Masters of Veterinary Medicine' (2012) and 'Membership to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science in Feline Medicine (2024). Megan has a special interest in Feline Internal Medicine (but still loves dogs) and works clinically across several of the Vet Hospital Clinics. At home Megan is kept very busy by her three children, husband, dog and cat but if she gets a spare minute she loves to spend time at the beach, reading a good book or savoring a fancy meal out.
Mit, Dip.VN (Vet Nurse)
Mit has been a dedicated veterinary nurse in New Zealand since 2020 and joined The Cat Doctor in 2023. With a passion for feline care and a compassionate approach, Mit is committed to supporting cats and their families, helping ensure every visit is calm and positive.
